After about 5 five years, it finally snowed!!!!!
We were supposed to go to schol this week, but it finally snowed!!!!
I think that about every student and about 83% of the teachers in Georgia were praying for snow, but I prayed harder than anyone else. I spent about half an hour begging and pleading God to let a few white flakes fall from the sky, or at least enough to make the school system representative board cancel school.
He did all of that and more!
When I saw that snow watch on the news on Sunday night, my eyes were like adhesive to the t.v. screen. I watched restlessly as they showed the list of schools that were canceled. When I saw Dekalb County (my school system) I was exponentially extatic! I couldn’t even go to sleep! I stayed up until about 6 in the morning just being happy that I didn’t have to go to school.
Don’t get me wrong, school is great, but it’s mentally draining! I like seeing all my friends at school and talking to them, but that’s really the only reason I like going to school. I know that my education is realy important, but isn’t very fun. Teachers are crazy, or at least most of them. There are some teachers that like their students to have fun, but sadly, there are teachers that like it when every student in their class has the worst time of their life when they enter the classroom. Teachers like that are usually the most abundant in public schools sadly.
This entire week has been like a dream. I had so much fun. Everyday, I woke up to a beautifully bright day. Light from the sun entered through the window like a guest that I invited over. Usually when I’m getting up for school I wake up very heavy and weighed down with all of the stresses of school, but since I didn’t have to worry about that, I woke up lighter than a feather. I didn’t even have to stretch. I wasn’t all stiff from pressure to get good grade, I was completely relaxed. I FELT LIKE I WAS HIGH AS A KITE! Lol. And to top everything off, we don’t have school on Monday either because it’s a holiday! I’m about ready to go back to school though. I don’t want to go to school because I feel the need to learn, I just want to see my friends……..plus I got some new boots!!! They look so cool. I love going to school and wearing new stuff!
