As I sit in the serenity room in John and Verla Saylors’ 1918 craftsman home in Long Beach, California; I’m reminded that it’s been approximate 35 years since I met the Saylors’. I often visited with a friend of mine. In those days John and Verla traveled the world. Upon arrival back in Long Beach, John, an amateur photographer would have family and friends over and present a slide show of their trip.
I’ve always been interested in travel to far away places so I’d look forward to seeing photos and and hearing stories of their travels.
John and Verla have been married 40 years, they were married on July 29, 1969 in the Chapel at Memorial Hospital, they honeymooned in Japan.
