My name is Austin.
I’m an 11 year old boy from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Every Summer I come out to California to see my brother, sister, and father. Every time I come out here I have to work very hard every day. I’m used to working out here but this Summer was a lot more intense than I ever imagined.
When I came to California I expected to be put to work , but when I got here, I worked much harder and much longer than I anticipated. My father and I worked ourselves to the bone day in and day out on a regular basis.
Afterwards, there is no more time in the day for anything else. Just the other day we had to fix the plumbing which lasted for 2 days. Athough, the effects of it lasted for a week.
I’m sure that tomorrow we will be going over to a relative’s house to sand down a strong glue called Bondo. As soon as we are done with that , my dad and I will have to paint it .
California can be most harsh.
Well, here goes…….. my first blog installment. Although I’ve had a writing presence on the internet since 1999 with http://seventhson.org this is the first time I’ve written anything where I could possibly get feedback on what I’ve written in the form of comments, thoughts, and who knows what else.
I normally write in the “Image Gallery” on http://seventhson.org where I have photos with accompanying text. Maybe as I get the hang of this I will have photos to help further explain my words.
In this blog you’ll find writings on a number of things as I get going and find my voice. Since I’m a professional photographer there will be writings on that subject. I’ll write about travel, building, construction, things I’ve built, repaired and plan on building. I’m also interested in increasing my knowledge of “The Green Movement” that’s going on all around us.
